The first step into academics

Ready to laugh, learn and make the best memories? CBA

Traditional Phonics
Reading establishes a foundation for all other academics. At CBA, children advance rapidly from letter sound recognition to reading words, sentences, and short books. The literacy journey begins in K4 and every student is able to read by the end of kindergarten.

Numbers
Counting, number recognition, and writing numbers launch our kindergarteners into the world of mathematics. Addition, subtraction, time, measure, and problem solving are then incorporated into their understanding of numbers.

Four-year-old kindergarten

The bright Beginnings program is designed as a delightful first learning experience for four-year-olds.  The program allows parents to choose a three or five day program, and it runs from 8:00 until 11:45 a.m. with extended care available in the afternoon. The program acquaints children with Bible stories, character development, alphabet recognition, basic counting skills, crafts and activities, and social skills. The Bright Beginnings follows the Academy calendar.

Five-year-old kindergarten

The kindergarten program serves as an integral part of the total school program.  Five-year-olds are ready both mentally and physically to handle the challenges of an active educational program.  The kindergarten program is a full day program (8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) five days a week.  The students are taught Bible stories and verses, a phonics reading program, basic math skills and concepts, and developing of listening skills.  Music and art as well as fun-filled learning experiences are introduced to the child in kindergarten. Children must by five years of age by September 1 to be enrolled in K5.  A readiness evaluation is given to each child entering the program.
